I wish they'd add some aesthetic parts of different styles, so you could actually build what you have in your head or a version of a TV/Movie ship that doesn't look like bad Lego.

I like it, thank you for the inspiration. I am going to adapt it for walled settlementsi like the one int the end but with the electric concrete doors hooked up to switches to act as sally ports. I also have ideas for more turret placement. I like threats mostly just deleted by heavy laser turrets but guard posts are just cool and it is always fun to equip the local guards in great looking armor.

For that gap @ 3:46 in the roof, in the wood roof section, there is a flat roof that is perfect to fill that gap, NO MOD NEEDED!

Can't wait to build this out with Darkstar's reactor/shield to wind up with 60 power and 4000 shields out of the gate. ;)

I once heard you can get upgraded turret models based on where in the settlement you create the turret. wasn't supposed to work everywhere, though.

I was doing it on the Xbox, but unfortunately, it exceeded the module limit, and I don't know if there is any module that allows you to increase the number of components on the ship so far.

Just arm the shit out of settlers. I give them all Weave 5, combat armor, and an automatic plasma pistol.

Is there away we can adjust it on a server so we can do this on console or not ?

Quite a number of them can't be done without the drop glitch... which isn't is more of a reflection on Bethesda designing the parts than the players tbh, because the end result looks good.

I love the look of this game but it’s so finicky, it’s like fallout 4 settlement building before you download Place Anywhere, it shouldn’t be that complicated to put down walls. I don’t even know why they care around about clipping buildings anyway

When plaI use floor for roofs also, just have to stack walls and can place floors both sides of wall. Roofs are very limited so learned to use floors for every level including ceiling just have to stack one wall on ceiling level as starting point to place floors inside and out.

Bunker is interesting(but it could lead to complications, since you used guardpost in it, when you will deploy your guards trough the terminal ), as to the tower, I prefer different design: up to 5 concrete cubes with the triangled roof pieces, from the second store, clockwised and next level counterclockwised, and so forth, to and fro, each piece fitted with heavy mg turret, such multidec construction could defend half of Sanctuary alone. Practically, nazi used anti-air towers in Berlin.

If youre going over the power limit on engines, or you just dont like having the mobility low, you can use SAL engines on instead of supernovas they have less power cost for more boost.

I find that simple scaffolding HMG towers are cheap and easy to build, and seem to be fairly effective. Build them three levels high and two squares wide. Put two MG turrets with the barrels facing the short edges, so the blind spots are facing each other and the tower can shoot in all directions. Set up these towers cross-protecting. Melee enemies don't seem to be able to get at the guns, and ranged enemies seem to aggro on things at ground level. I suppose I'll incorporate a genny and some stronger turrets once those become obsolete, but so far them and my automatic pipe-rifle armed settlers have made quick work of anything that has attacked them, usually before I can get more than one or two kills. It really is a frenzy of autofire.
